Common questions
Can we keep our existing door hardware?
Usually yes - most commercial door hardware can be retrofit with electric strikes, maglocks, or smart locks. A site walk tells us what's reusable.
What about multi-tenant buildings?
ButterflyMX is our go-to for multi-tenant residential and mixed-use. For commercial multi-tenant, we deploy Brivo with tenant-scoped admin rights.
Can my staff use their phones as keys?
Yes. Mobile credentials are the default now - no extra app needed on modern Brivo and UniFi Access, just tap your phone to the reader.
Does this work with our existing cameras?
If the cameras are on a supported platform (UniFi, Brivo, or industry-standard NVRs) we integrate them so door events link to clips. If not, we can replace cameras or run them in parallel.
Is there a monthly fee?
Brivo is cloud-hosted and has a per-door monthly fee. UniFi Access has no cloud fee but requires on-site hardware. We'll recommend the right fit for your budget and requirements.
